Canada Day in Courtenay Offers Lots of Ways to Celebrate

Downtown Courtenay is the hub for Canada Day celebrations in the Comox Valley and Riverside Senior Living is set just a few blocks from all of the action.

The day begins with the 5th Street Mile, a fun foot race for all ages. Following the race, the Canada Day parade travels through downtown to the Lewis Centre, where activities continue for the rest of the day, with live music, games, vendors and entertainment galore.

With bands, free swimming, a kids zone and more, Lewis Centre is the place to be all day. And don’t miss the Rotary Club of Comox’s Annual Ducky 500 Race on the Courtenay River.

Other events and venues include the Tea Dance at the Native Sons Hall and the evening finishes with a free variety show at The Sid Williams Theatre.

We are proud to a part of this beautiful community and celebrate Canada Day this July 1!
